Afternoon II — 15:30 to 18:00 — Sensing & Controls
This session will introduce participants to the essential components required to intelligently sense and control a hardware system. Participants will assemble a physical plant and integrate the necessary sensors and actuators. They will then perform data-driven system identificant to develop a digital twin of the system. Both conventional and neural-network-based controllers will be used to drive the system to a desired operating point and maintain stable performance under external disturbances. The session will also cover the deployment of a neural-network on an embedded controller for real-time sensing and control.
